Human Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to join the
team.
As Senior HRA, you will support the effective delivery of a high quality
and professional Human resources service providing focused challenge, advice
and guidance to managers in the organisation and ensure effective
implementation of, and compliance with, all workforce policies, procedures,
workforce practices and standards.
You will oversee and manage all aspects of generalist HR Operations, including
supporting Senior managers with their day to day people matters, complex
employee relations matters and change management. You will provide coaching and
guidance to the HR Advisors to empower them to successfully undertake their own
role and responsibilities and work closely with the HR Business Partner to
implement the People Strategy initiatives and goals. The role will actively
network internally and externally to ensure the Library continuously develops
and learns from others.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Continuous improvement of process and procedures and implementation of
innovative HR practices
• Managing complex employee relations issues, providing the business with
advice and support in line with company policies
• Supporting with policy development in line with company culture and local
legislation
• Providing a customer-focused approach to queries and requests for advice;
• Acting as an escalation point for complex issues
• Driving selected HR projects, based on your interests and experience and
strategic goals
• Supporting HR Business Partner with implementation of People Team strategy
and projects
• Supporting the Visa Sponsorship License process and managing query
escalations
• Advising Mangers on different contractual terms and statuses such as Research
Placements, Erasmus and Erasmus+ Placements and fixed-term contracts.
The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive and solutions focused, be
comfortable assessing complex HR matters and making decisions accordingly, have
a sound knowledge of HR best practice and UK Employment law and have experience
line managing and coaching a small team.
